Eligibility
Academic requirements are different for all our program, so we would recommend focusing on where your passions and interests lie and alignment with your academic background, and then choosing the program to apply for. As far as selection criteria are concerned, we will assess your strengths, drive, and motivation in relation to the specific program you apply for.
We need to be fair and consistent with every candidate, but we do assess each case individually. If you believe you are qualified to apply for the program you are interested in, we recommend applying for it.
No. We only accept one application per candidate, per year.
Yes, we do. However, you will need to prove your right to work in the country that you're applying to.
We will need full details of your qualification, and if it meets the same standard as the minimum country specific-recognised equivalent, we will be happy to proceed with your application.
Not all programs are available in every country. If you can't find your desired program in a specific country, it may either be unavailable there or the application period may have closed.
Programs
For our internship program, you must have, or be on track to achieve, a degree from an accredited university and must be in your penultimate year of studies with a good academic track record.
While we do have definite closing dates for the program, we sometimes close it early if we receive enough high-quality applications. Hence, we would recommend always turning in your application promptly. For final dates, please navigate to the internship program page.
Currently, the internship program is only available in our USA locations of Broomfield, CO; Cerritos, CA; Irvine, CA or Atlanta, GA. The strategic project for the internship could however be based in any business unit within the Hunter Douglas Group such as Customer Experience, Finance, Procurement Supply Chain & Logistics, Sales & Marketing or Human Resources. This allocation would be based on the company’s goal for the year and the candidate’s skill set and interests. Note that based on the project you will be working on, you might be required to travel to some of our other office locations depending on the business unit.
At the end of the 10 week-internship programs, you will deliver a final presentation to the business leaders and the stakeholders involved to demonstrate your work on the project. This will conclude your internship with the possibility of being eligible for a full-timejob for our trainee program based on your performance.
Selection & Assessment Process
We employ a carefully crafted strategy which includes our recruiters to verify the suitability of the candidate for the program and a digital assessment process to find people who closely align with our values and possess the talent and drive to join our group.
Unfortunately, no. We need to be fair and consistent to all our candidates and the values we are assessing you against. Hence, it is not possible to re-take the tests.
We understand that everyone is unique, and we aim to make everyone feel comfortable to perform their best. If you have a condition that might affect your performance during the selection process, please reach out to us and we will be able to make suitable adjustments to ensure that you are able to complete the process on an equal footing.
We aim to provide feedback on the digital assessment as quickly as possible. Invitations to assessment day and panel interviews can take longer, usually up to a month each. Due to the high volume of applications, a delay may occur, but we will notify you if that happens.
Unfortunately, no. We need to be fair and consistent to all our candidates and the values we are assessing you against. Hence, it is not possible to participate in another assessment day. However, if you have extenuating circumstances, please reach out to us and we will be able to investigate it for you.
Depending upon the number of applications delays might occur, but on average, it may take up to 50 days for the entire recruitment cycle to complete.
All our programs start in early August each year at our Head Quarters for a Global Induction. For further information, please navigate to the program specific page.
Yes, you can reapply, but not until next year as we only accept one application per candidate per year.
